today was my first day as a guide for the swedish exhibition. tried last min revision late 1am till abt 3am(distracted by msn of coz) and in the morn flipping furiously thru the notes we have. feels like exam. haha.

anyways, as i have repeated my incident twice to hun and mr woo on msn already, i decided i wld copy and paste. in summary, its rather pi(the museum disorganised, not the lovely swedes!) oh this guide tour thing also reminded me how poor my presentation skills are. ahha i caught the desmond bug.." eh, actually this is a... This is actually a.. This thing actually will do this". i think i said at least 23 actuallys during the tour. hope the visitors understood me. lol.

And for the 2nd session, i was actually so pathetic that i occasionally went over to the irritated receptionist to check if theres anyone waiting for the guide tour. (well, i saw suspicious visitors who looked like they might be interested in swedish things hurhur)

Stood. Sat. Walked. aimlessly for abt 85min. zhen shi pi.

The only great thing was the lovely angmohlady and the alwaysthereforme ikea couch at the end of the aisle. feels like im in a living room with really tall ceilings.

tried to cram everything in one day but no no. things dun work well that way, esp on a superably rainy day. well, at least paid my air tix and heard the agent talk abt ai g insurance plan. BUT, supposedly to accomplish more! like popping by the dutch embassy to clarify more qns and verifying birth cert etc.

i kiah

went for Improving Life guide briefing cum opening... woahh. annika the curator is sweet and lovely; annika the embassy lady is pretty and lovely. the swedes are really lovely people, makes me wana go sweden now! some of the exhibits are really cool! one of my faves is the disposable sleeping bag.

hung out with 2 guys and a new guy. Seriously walking in PS is no fun. And maybe cuz it was rainy and guycrowd and we were all getting old (save for the new guy who's having his after-As hols), we quickly settled in at Cafe Cartel to nuah after like 10 min browsing PS.

had on so called "*designer-chic" (mr woo says) =*really non chalant and non dressy) clothes and i tink we were probly refered to as the "non swedish youngsters who kept sitting around". look rather out of place during the media walk as you can see, we dun look very important. The people there were either Very Important People or Very Important Swedes. We were neither. lol. but well there was free swedish food(yums!), live a capella music(The Real Group is great!)!!

Thanks yanwei for the opportunity! (: and oh yeah, the Sweden ambassador pronounced ikea as i kiah. Crushed the urban myth of 'e k yiah' and 'e kiah' huh?

Things are starting to look up.. finally my visa has been approved just gotta wait for it to be sent over this sunny side.

However, im still stuck regarding insurance. Dutch IPS, AIG, NTUC blahhh. Gotta settle that soon in order to collect my visa.

According to my mum, it's equivalent to having pork ribs in your soup. And " if you have pork ribs, no need scallops." Which means i need these dried scallops, ma. Euros = E for Expensive

ok thats abt it so far, but i intend to add on several. Like chicken rice paste or smt. Some magic spring onion or smt...Somewhat feel more secure and contented with these 2 items bought. Like im blessed with good yummy soup that taste like home at least.
