i want my own The Margot!

recently i watched the royal tenenbaums and i fell in love with the whole show's offbeat quirks. not to mention.. a certain attitude accessory which i called it The Margot (hairclip) which im trying to look for. if u can see from the picture, its a rather longish bold red clip with some 'clean' design on it.

if i have blonde hair u can be sure i will channel some of those margot's angsty.. but for now i jus want my own attitude accessory. i tink one fine day im gonna go outta my house with some thick eyelinered eyes vis a vis margot.

p.s/been caught in a pastel explosion of coloured hairbands lately. i just love hunting those rare 'off-' colours.

The Lady and The Puppy

The lady decided to get a puppy
which was thought to be a man's best pal
Creature of loyalty and what have nots
Curly fur, angelic gaze that melts

Alas, so caught in the lovely gaze
the lady has not noticed its nasty bite
The puppy whom she once very much loved
bit her loving hand that fed

She thought, "maybe it was a playful breed,
which couldnt care less except for charming tricks"
Nonetheless, it was time to go
for the puppy grew too huge for her bed

Happily Never After

Once upon a time
an ugly duckling found itself
grow up unwittingly the apple of emerald eyes;
Delusion, not envy, was the greater of two evils, it seemed

Miss White wasn't so lucky
to encounter some samaritians of seven lovelies
Turned out deadly wasnt the poisoned apple,
for (mis)trust was her actual archilles heel

Someone should really tell the witches too
Poison once spilled, percolates
infects, and evaporates.
Seriously, just that devious spell will do.

All these stories are very very real
and not just merely bedtime tales
This is very sad but true
happily nver after, they ended too soon

A Hidden Gem

Deep buried
robust and firm
not inching

Look, no touching
only a gem when finally told
"Wasn't it just another grain of sand?"

Uncovered one day
Rolled and tumbled with little care
Oh no! Broken? Considered sold.

Yet the tiny precious still safe
Waiting patiently for some cooling rain
Reveal and away with that coat of sand!

mid afternoon movie

just watched The Reader.. and it touched me more than i expected to...

read some reviews about it and there was this bit abt how "during their final meeting he is reticent and unsure of their relationship or of whether he wishes to be there and how much he wishes to give, but she helps him by saying “it is over isn’t it”, she feeds off his detachment and comes to realise that she can no longer have the sensual relationship they enjoyed, the relationship she understood."

i think im abit of michael and maybe more of hannah.

initially i thought the history and court trials will be more droning than captivating, but it is a really good movie, sad and touching esp towards the end.

you know, im the kind of person who just write on my blog to let it out, or when i feel kinda poetic, inspired by something. i log in, create post, view post and leave. I never ever took an extra glance at other functions of the site.. so to my (pleasant)surprise, as i was thinking of editing my 'i like stringing words' post, i realised somebody has been reading my blog..and left comments on my recent two posts.. i wonder if its my dear friends who did cuz of my busy-ness and lazyness my flooblebox decided to elope and abandon me,so posting comments is the only other way to leave a message..
